Ik ben ooit online The Next Web tegengekomen en heb me toen geabonneerd op de nieuwsbrief. Artikelen over IT-gerelateerde zaken, er komt nog wel eens een interessant bericht voorbij. Ook heeft TNW elk jaar een conferentie met een groot aantal sprekers. Het event is volgens mij primair gericht op ondernemers, die hier kunnen netwerken, Maar goed, op een mooie locatie, de mailtjes die ik hierover voorbij zag komen, daar wilde ik nog wel eens op doorklikken om te kijken “wie komen er dan”? Hardwell die gebruik maakt van Blockchain (oh?), Chris Wanstrath, co-founder en CEO van GitHub, Mikko Hyppönen, security expert van F-Secure. Je kunt hier zien wie op eerdere edities geweest zijn: link, daar zie je Casey Neistat staan, een gast die coole dingen toegestuurd krijgt en ze dan in een filmpje verwerkt. Ook een mooie manier om geld te verdienen (ik kende ‘m niet, credits voor mijn collega Dirk Jan!). Op een andere pagina van dutchcowboys.nl (die site heb ik al 5 jaar niet meer bezocht.. wow) wordt de editie van 2013 besproken, een praatje van Appmachine die toen de app gemaakt heeft: link. En zie hier, ik kom op Facebook een video tegen van 2018: link, waarin de presentatie gedaan wordt door Richard Ayoade van IT-crowd, dat is indrukwekkend. Dus hoewel er een aardig prijskaartje aan het ticket hangt heb ik in 2019 een kaartje gekocht.
Toen kwam corona langs, dus was 2020 een digitale editie. Dat is natuurlijk niet met de impact / het wow-gevoel als je op locatie bent. Dat kan nu in 2021 gelukkig wel weer. Op 30 september en 1 oktober wordt op het Taets Art and Event Park het evenement gehouden. Op donderdag kan ik daar niet zijn omdat we die dag ons overleg van het back-end team hebben en de “heads up” van alle afdelingen, daarom volg ik tussendoor de online editie.
Op de pagina met sprekers tel ik 191 sprekers, dus wat dat betreft voldoende keuze.
Op vrijdag kan ik er wel bij zijn, dus ik vertrek dan in de ochtend naar Zaandam. Ik heb het gecombineerd met een optreden van De Dijk in de Ziggo Dome, omdat ze 40 jaar bestaan hebben ze daar een concert. Omdat de site (link) elk jaar ververst wordt hier maar even het overzicht van de sessies en welke ik gevolgd heb. Er is overlap, dus je moet van tevoren kiezen wat je gaat volgen;
